Curious about becoming a Foster Parent for a LGBTQ youth in care?

Five/Fourteen is delighted to invite anyone who is curious about becoming a foster parent for a LGBT youth to our first Q&A session in London.

Did you know that...

• LGBTQ youth are four times more likely to commit suicide than their heterosexual peers and nine time more likely when they have been rejected by their heterosexual families
• The Ministry of Children and Youth Services, in 2016, reported serving 16,000 youth in foster care and group homes
• Although the government does not currently track how many LGBT youth are in foster care, through our own research, we estimate anywhere between 2,000 - 3,000 youth identify along the rainbow spectrum.

If you are able to offer a safe and affirming home, we want to hear from you! Every youth ought to live with dignity and feel safe in their bodies, and in their homes, no matter who they love or how they express themselves.
