Off The Page: Speaking Our Truths

Speaking our Truths is a long-standing event, and over the years has seen such a huge array of speakers, stories, victories, triumphs, tragedies, heartbreak, and immense, overwhelming, and radiating love. Guelph Spoken Word is so excited to handover over the mic of our regular monthly writer's open mic to the voices in the LGBTQIA+ community for this Guelph Pride event.

You are invited to come and share with us! Share part of your story, a specific lesson or learning, yearning or love, or anything in between. We ask that speakers limit their piece to between 5-7 minutes, but check with any of our hosts if you have concerns about this or you have a story that cannot be made any more succinct. We'd love to have you and we're excited about what you might have to say.

Our last open mic was such a heartwarming success, we're looking forward to bringing everyone together again for a cozy evening of storytelling, community connections, and knowing that your voice - your story - you - matter.

This event is pay-what-you-can admission! Donations to Out on the Shelf, Guelph Pride, and Guelph Spoken Word are welcomed!
