Young & Proud

Young and Proud is a safe and affirming support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, questioning, intersex, 2-spirit, pansexual, asexual (LGBTQ) and allied youth aged 13-18. We promote the health and wellbeing, and empowerment of LGBTQ youth in Windsor-Essex. We believe in the strengths and assets of LGBTQ young people and encourage youth to gain leadership skills and contribute to both the LGBTQ community and the larger Windsor-Essex community.

Our program includes open forum discussions with topics ranging from sexual health, relationships, coming out and the media. It also incorporates educational presentations from community members, social nights, as well as internship and volunteer opportunities.
