"My name is Alysha Brilla; I was born Alysha Mohamed. I am an Indo-Tanzanian-Canadian Juno-Nominated singer, songwriter, producer, yoga instructor, part-time clothing designer and social justice advocate. I identify as mixed-race and queer.

I have been making music since I was a little one. People often ask me what I play. I sing and play guitar, piano, drums, I dabble in trumpet and I produce music. I've also been teaching yoga for several years. I travelled to Rishikesh, India, to study its ancient art and I left a little piece of my heart there. I would consider myself invested in the politics of people; namely equality amongst humans with a special interest in sexual equality, indigenous rights and decolonizing our societies through awareness and education.
