Windsor Pride Community & Education Resource Centre
Connect with your community
The Windsor Pride Community is strong and vibrant not-for-profit organization of committed and driven volunteers led by a Board of Directors. We work for and embrace the entire LGBTIQ community and its allies, no matter your gender, race, culture, creed, age, ability, orientation, economic status or affiliation. We support our committees who, among other things: work to create educational opportunities for the community, including diversity training; work with the local school boards and the Gay-Straight Alliances in schools; work with and support other community organizations, and; host seniors' programs and activities.
As needs arise and funds are secured, the Windsor Pride Community is able to offer a variety of programs to the community. Most programs or committees are run by volunteers.
- Youth Programs
SchoolsOUT - This is a bi-weekly annual summer program designed for high school students in GSAs (Gay-Straight Alliance) to get together and gain support for the school year.
Run for Rocky - Named in memory of Rocky Campana, this run raises money to support the Gay-Straight Alliances in our high schools with grants and post secondary scholarships.
Anti-Bullying Week - In partnership with the University of Windsor, we celebrate Anti-Bullying Week, November 12th to 18th, 2017 with workshops and guest speakers.
- Diversity Training for administrators, staff and volunteers
- T-Party is a social gathering for Trans* and Trans* allies once a month on a Saturday evening
