This 2 part workshop series presented by Teddy Syrette is an opportunity for folks to learn and share what they know about 2Spirit and Indigi-queer people and history.

Sunday Nights - Review & Reflection

Workshop participants will go through a brief 2Spirit & LGBTQ+ 101. Folks will also participant in part of a 2Spirit/Queer-Trans Indigenous Person (2S/QTIP) Wellness Cycle. This 2S/QTIP exercise will explore the impacts of colonization on Indigenous people across Turtle Island; with a focus on 2Spirit, Indigi-queer and Queer-Trans Indigenous experiences and histories.

Wednesday Nights - Application & Action

Folks will reflect on their previous session and review notes and tasks provided on Sunday evening. Participants will be able to discuss experiences and what 2Spirit, Indigi-queer and Queer-Trans Indigenous People's futures can look like. A list of topics mentioned in the 2S/QTIP wellness cycle and any resources shared, will be compiled, reviewed and released to all those in attendance of the workshop(s).

Each week will be the same . Participants can choose which week works best for them. If someone cannot cover any cost, no one will be turned away. Please note, that these workshops will not be presented or translated in French. Access to ASL interpretation, can be looked into, if requested and upon availability.
