HPV & LGBT2Q+ Health Info Session

How much do you really know about HPV? As one of the most common STI’s worldwide, it’s surprising how little we all know about the Human Papillomavirus. (HPV).

Like how 90% of genital warts infections are caused by HPV. and how HPV can lead to a variety of different cancers in all genders and identities.

Come on out for an HPV info session with Leanne Powell, a long time LGBT2Q+ ally and public health nurse with the MLHU who will be joining Pride Western to talk everything HPV. Who’s more at risk, how this HPV affects the LGBT2Q+ community and what can you do to prevent the spread of HPV.

You'll also have a chance to ask those questions you've been wondering about, but never seemed to have the right person to ask. Wondering if as non-binary or trans-identified male you need a pap-test? When' a good time to get tested? How do you take charge of your health? We'll have answers to all these questions and more!
