Passing the Torch

The Composition of Queer Outta Hamilton is changing - the former Oral Groove Team Emily G and Nat Laz are passing the torch to James Dee (QOH's only boy) who will keep Queer Outta Hamilton going strong, with some exciting new partnerships and collaborations! For our Passing the Torch Party, we have our friends from deepmotive joining us for the evening to give you a taste of their sound.

deepmotive is a collective dedicated to hosting artful electronic music events in unique venues. They were founded in Hamilton, by a team of experienced, forward thinking promoters, artists and musicians with the goal to deliver a mature, welcoming and intimate experience at each and every event.


QOH and deepmotive will be joining energies for the passing the torch party to create an open, intimate, hammer style tried and true dance party that won’t break the bank. Come and celebrate an ending - Em and Nat have been hosting women and trans focused parties for 10 years in Hammer and New Beginnings…..


Remember, Queer Outta Hamilton is all about bringing people together and making space for queers and our friends to have great times with great folks. We aim to create space that is inclusive and open. One where people can be themselves. Dance how they wanna dance. Make new friends and see some fabulous familiar faces. deepmotive is down with this agenda and is sure to please with DJ's Osito and Damian Definite.

On the Decks we have ….

DJ RECKLEZZ - A long time Oral Groove Favorite!! The One and Only returning to the hammertown decks with her hottest mixes of hip hop, r&b, remixes, dancehall, pop and remixes to keep you moving.

Dan (DJ Osito) of deepmotive - resident/ promoter for Night Drive/ No Thrills/ & most recently the Reading Rainbow monthly lgbtq parties at the late Baltimore House as well as Ibiza Nights aka Patio Fridayz on at Jack & Lois

Damian (Damian Definite) - Multi-genre producer and DJ based in Canada specializing in House, Techno, Breakbeat and Funk operating under the aliases of PuckerFunk and Damian Definite.
